Description
Ross Edgley prepares to enter the water for a training swim in the wild northwest Highlands of Scotland. Preparing to attempt to swim around Iceland, cold water acclimatisation and rough conditions training were essential. I was tasked with recording his training for various sponsors, which in this case involved getting out and getting smashed in the surf myself. I wanted to create a portrait of the moment of anticipation of entering these conditions, so timed the shots with the breaking waves. The light that morning was superb, which really added to the drama.
