Self Portrait

As an underwater photographer, I wanted to challenge myself by creating a self-portrait beneath the surface. I dressed for the occasion in a playful outfit—a black dress with striped socks—and used an acrylic mirror in the pool to experiment with reflections and visual distortion. Over 150 images later, this frame emerged as my favourite. Despite the whimsical appearance, capturing it was far from easy; buoyancy made it incredibly difficult to stay perfectly still while managing focus, framing, and movement all at once.
