Pictured Police officer PC Sally Ann Nicol saved the lives of one of her colleagues and almost lost her own after being caught in a mudslide on a country road during Storm Babet in the Scottish Highlands Argyll and Bute, Scotland while rescuing 10 stranded drivers during the storm. Image taken 14/11/2024 PC Sally Ann Nicol was recognised in the Individual Bravery Award at the Scottish Police Federation’s Annual Awards 2024; the award was given to PC Nicol for her bravery in saving the lives of others during one of the worst landslips ever to affect Argyll and Bute, which happened on the A83 during Storm Babet in 2023. I was trying to get across the determination and focus of the police officer based on the background of the story, having the officer looking straight in to the camera to get a feel of her courage while portraying the remote location of where the incident took place.
