Description
Sunrise at Tynemouth with Ted the Poodle. A simple yet beautiful portrait capturing him at his favorite spot. I underexposed the background to preserve the rich colors of the morning sky and used a flash and beauty dish to illuminate Ted. A personal moment turned into a lasting image. When photographing dogs, my main objectives are to elevate their presence and capture their personality in a visually striking way. I shoot from a low angle to give the dog stature and present a perspective we don’t often see. I prefer working at sunrise or sunset, using the rich, vibrant colours to reflect the joy and energy dogs bring to our lives. Whenever possible, I frame the dog’s head above the horizon line, a subtle composition choice that can enhance their heroic and dignified appearance. Camera Settings: 24mm - f11 - 1/40sec -ISO 100
