Description
Was sat at home having been disappointed with the grey skies all day. Then the sun broken through, so grabbed my gear and headed out for a glorious impromptu stroll in one of my favourite areas of the New Forest National Park near Rockford Common. This area is especially beautiful this time of year with the heather in full bloom. The sunset was pleasant enough but the colours against the passing clouds to the south were popping with purples like a mirrored palette of colour from the heath below. Imagine my delight when the beautiful heard of New Forest ponies strolled through the heather pruning the grass growing in between the heather.
