Always seeking out dark skies and striking foregrounds for my astrophotography, I travelled to Devon in search of a 150-year-old structure built as a navigational aid. Standing tall and resilient against the relentless wind that evening, The Daymark impressed me with its symmetry and poise. To bring out its unique features, I used my head torch and tried to remain as still as possible despite being battered by the gale. I then captured the Milky Way core as it gracefully descended toward the horizon, later stacking the images to reveal greater depth and detail in our galaxy. The freshly harvested field provided natural leading lines that drew the eye inward, completing the scene.
