Neist Point _ Isle of Skye
Sony A7iii / Gmaster 24-70mm 2.8
Neist Point lighthouse on the Isle of Skye was first lit in 1909 and one of the most stunning lighthouses we have in the uk. I decided on the 10th March to visit during sunset and I wasn't disappointed. The golden light broke through the stormy clouds while some dappled light looked awesome on the waves below. I had arrived early so had plenty of time to explore the cliffs trying out different compositions before settling behind some interesting rock formations that complimented the conditions. The conditions weren't perfect as I faced some high winds having to shoot low down on my tripod and keep the shutter speed reasonable to keep the sharpness within the image. Settings - ISO 250 / 24mm / F13 / 1/125 sec. Taken - 10 March 2025 21:26pm Post processing was done in Lightroom increasing the exposure to the sky while warming up the tone. I cropped out a distracting rock at the bottom.
