Amid the noise of performance and the weight of cultural posturing, silence becomes its own form of resistance. This work is about the metaphysical solitude of the body held against the elements. It suggests that to step back from spectacle is not escape but confrontation. In today's irony-poisoned (online) world that is constantly rewarding us for hiding behind 'jokes'', irony and an endless chain of references, being alone and embracing sincerity is an act of bravery. C-type print on FUJI Crystal Archive DP II Gloss From Kodak Portra 160 120mm negative, 8x12 in. This work forms part of my Master’s research in Fashion Photography at London College of Fashion, where I explore the intersections of post-irony, ideology, and contemporary aesthetics.
