In the 70s and 80s Football Fans of clubs like Liverpool and Nottingham Forest acquired fashionable clothing on European Away Days in countries such as Italy and France often by raiding shops. They would bring these clothes back to Britain with them and wear them as a form of disguise to avoid detection from the police. This act coincided with the rise of hooliganism. Nowadays, wearing these brands is seen in a more social and stylish light. So-called "Football Casuals" substitute their team's colours for a much more comfortable and fashion-conscious approach to attending the big game. Casuals Charlie and Tyler walk to the game in their CP Company jackets to make a statement rather than to avoid confrontation as before.
