Every Spring Bank Holiday, thousands of spectators head to the steepest hill in Gloucestershire, to watch one of Britain's wildest traditions: Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling. There are a variety of races, some uphill, kids only races but the most spectacular races are when it's the adult's turn to run down the hill after wheels of Gloucestershire cheese. With Cooper's Hill being incredibly steep hill with a gradient of 1:2, people often end up with anywhere from minor injuries to dislocated and broken bones. Photographed at the end off the last cheese roll, I captured this racer covered in red paint for his "costume".
