Description
Hengifoss was my favourite waterfall in Iceland. While the view from the bottom of this monumental waterfall was stunning enough, being surrounded by the 128 meters tall rockfaces made the land before Hengifoss enigmatic. I brought my drone out to unveil the mystery before Hengifoss. The ragged but colorful rockfaces around the waterfall made me think the land above would share this character. To my surprise, the world before Hengifoss is completely different: it was calm, gentle, and void of everything that made Hengifoss so well known. The contrasting landscape added a brand new layer of appreciation and complexity to my experience at Hengifoss.
