Wedding
The Granary Estates, Newmarket
Canon R6 and Canon RF 24-70 , Godex Flash
Family had just joined the couple for the first dance, and ,as the last chorus started, the confetti canons went off. It was a great moment. I'm really pleased that you can feel how busy it was, thats what I wanted to capture. It's a risk to use the flash with so much confetti, sometimes there is just too much confetti falling, that you can't see anything. I waited until most of it had fallen and I could see the couple again and then began to shoot. Felt like a lifetime and I had to hold my nerve that I wasn't missing it all. The temptation to just keep shooting was strong. As it's a wedding I do try and keep out the way, so a continuous flash in your face as you do your first dance would not be good for my couples. I never want to impose.
