Water Life
Northumberland Coast
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, EF100-400mm F4.5-5.6L
It takes the right set of conditions to photograph the kelp forest canopy from dry land. Bright sunshine, a spring tide, (at its lowest point), a light breeze and a calm sea. Ingredients that don't often coincide on the Northumberland coast. I waited until just one frond of seaweed broke the surface of the sea to break up the pattern formed by the fronds as they drifted in a gently swell.
