Description

This picture was taken on a dive in Bali. The fish is resting on a sponge, a habitat that looks almost like trees. Underwater sponges are fascinating, the shape of their bodies are adapted for maximal efficiency of water flow through the central cavity, where the water deposits nutrients and then leaves through a hole called the osculum.
