On the first dive of the trip, we noticed a huge baitball of juvenile yellow-tail barracuda swirling just a few meters from shore. Predators had pushed the shoal into the bay and trapped them in the shallow water, surrounded on both sides by coral reef. I spent a few dives watching and waiting for the largest predators to get close and come up to my camera as they darted inside the shoal for a quick snack. Finally one morning as the sun was rising the fish darted as this large Bluefin Trevally split the shoal and came right up to my dome port, the image I had waited for.
