Description

"Portrait MEniature" delves into the complexities of femininity, exploring how societal expectations shape our identities. Through symbolic imagery and introspection, it aims to uncover the essence of womanhood and inspire empowerment. In essence, this project asks: Who are we beyond societal norms? Do we change personalities like clothes? And where does our authentic self hide? This project aims to spark dialogue around these questions. "Portrait MEniature" uses natural symbols to highlight femininity and Baroque-inspired lighting to emphasize the historical context of societal norms. Through these elements, it seeks to reveal the layers of the identity. The ruff around my neck symbolizes the burden of societal expectations, visually representing the weight we carry. My project calls for empowerment, urging us to break free from societal constraints and embrace our true selves without hesitation. Through introspection, I aim to inspire others to reflect on their own identity and celebrate authenticity.
