Environmental portrait of Marco, captured in Dalmeny Street Park in Leith, Edinburgh. This image was captured as part of a wider project called 'Faces of Leith', where I documented my community in Leith through environmental portraiture. This project involved photographing individuals associated with Leith, often through chance encounters on the street. This project was hugely fulfilling and allowed me to capture the diversity and spirit of my local community. I was walking by the park admiring the evening light when I spotted Marco relaxing with some friends. After chatting for some time, Marco agreed to have his portrait taken. I purposely backlit Marco using the soft evening light. Settings: f/2.8, 1/500 sec, ISO 100
