I was exploring the waterfront of Portobello, Edinburgh looking for street photo opportunities when I saw this man on his bike with the dog on his back approaching. It was an amazing moment and I raised my camera quickly to get a shot. Seeing this, the man helpfully circled me once, giving me the opportunity to fire off a couple of frames before continuing his journey. I absolutely love that I was able to capture this moment, with the dog almost leaning toward me, goggles in place, as though ready for an amazing adventure. I like too the similarity in colour between the vibrant orange of of the goggles and the vibrant ginger of the man's beard. Portobello has a lot of fun characters around and this seemed like a golden opportunity for a quirky spur-of-the-moment photo. Image was taken at f/2.2, 1/2000s, ISO125
