Description

Solio Reserve is a private sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of white & black rhino & has run the most successful rhino breeding programme in East Africa. I was able to get this image of a 1 month old rhino calf & its mother by lying on the ground. Whilst you see the mothers rear in this image I liked the juxtaposition in terms of the difference in their size but I also thought the texture of the skin & also the hoof of the rhino was really striking. Something that the small calf will grow into over time.
