Description

St Marks Square in winter is a mesmerising place less tourists and in the early hours of the morning you can experience the place to yourself... When the winter floods come (Acque Alta) everything becomes submerged and you sometimes have to wait hours for the water levels to subside wonderful for photography but unfortunately a sad reminder of the devastating effects of global warming and rising sea levels, I felt it was a poignant image.
