Description

Turkey’s ‘Badlands’ are full of surprises. I came across this remote valley as I was flying my drone over an area of beautiful multi-coloured hills in central Turkey. The erosion of the soft sedimentary rocks has created a stunning landscape of swirling shapes and textures. Searching for intriguing patterns in the geology and positioning the drone at different heights and angles, I was able to experiment with different compositions and this image was part of a set that seemed to work well.
