Description

This is a portrait of Jungle/Drum and bass DJ Marvellous Cain. The portrait was to help promote his new clothing range ‘Born Outta Fire’ So I wanted to create a fire like feel to the images, and started off with saturated colour gels. I wanted to create an image with the energy and motion of a flickering flame. So we experimented - firstly identifying the pose then shooting the same pose 5/6 times - lighting each shot differently. This took about 15 mins to capture and the slight movement of the model in this time added to the effect. These images were then overlaid to create the final image.
