We can never promise good weather for our clients, but what I can promise is that I will do everything I can to create the images they want. George & Ashly had a complete washout for their wedding. So much so that all of the group photos had to be taken inside the venue. The staff were very kind to us and allowed me and the team to move furniture around so that we could create enough space to accommodate everyone. We had planned to take some photos of the wedding party stood in front of the roman temple, but it didn't look like it was going to happen. All day I checked to see if there was a break in the weather, but it wasn't looking good. As darkness fell, the heavy rain gave way to a light drizzle and I thought this was the best we would get. The idea I had was exactly what you see. I knew that if I back lit them with a single off camera flash, I could get a really beautiful silohuette of everyone. I told the couple of my idea and we gathered everyone for our photo. The things I love about this image is how the rest of the group are in shadow but the Bride and Groom and fully visible. I also love how it looks like the rain isn't falling on the Bride and Groom. It's a really great photo and I'm so proud with how it turned out. Camera settings ISO 3200 24mm F3.5 1/100
