Description

There were some sea lions resting on a little rocky islet nearby when we entered the water for our dive. So when we came across a large school of mackerel we waited and hoped for some action. We were all the more excited when we saw a sea lion approach and then hunt in the school of fish. All of this happened very quickly and the movements of the sea lion and the fish were incredibly fast. I was prepared for an against-the-light shot with the sun behind the school of mackerel and was fortunate that the sea lion turned up in just the right place for this capture.
