Description

Katie Archibald scans the track ahead of her amidst the chaos of the Points Race in the Women's Omnium at the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships. Archibald came into the final event of the Omnium in eighth place, with little chance of securing a medal. She then proceeded to dominate the final of four events in the Omnium, lapping the field twice in the process, spurred on by the roar of the crowd at her local velodrome. Archibald eventually finished fourth in the Omnium, just six points outside of the podium positions.
