Goodwood Golf Course
Canon 1DX Mk2, Canon 400m f2.8
It was a very windy day at Goodwood Golf Course and I got myself in position to photograph professional golfer Ryan Brooks play a shot from the fairway. I was on a 400m lens, so was able to blur the background nicely and make Ryan big in the frame. As he played his shot, his Callaway hat flew off his head and fortunately I was able to capture his hat floating in the air beside him, with the Callaway logo facing towards the camera as if it was still on his head. As soon as I took the picture, I knew it was a rare moment I may never capture again in my lifetime. The shape of Ryan's body holding the golf club above his head also compliments the overall composition of the image. It's without a doubt one of my favourite sports photos I have taken, as I believe it's very unusual and a picture that would be extremely hard to replicate. Shutter: 1/2000 ISO: 100 Aperture: 2.8
