Portrait
Home Studio, London
Canon 5d Mk3 with a 70-200mm zoom lens. Continuous tungsten lighting.
I photographed music artist Iain Woods, for a ‘Portraits of Artist’ project. Inspired by an album cover with an image of him from behind, fingers crossed behind his back, I took it a step further introducing a mirror showing him from the front with hand on heart—a symbol of sincerity. (There is another paradox if you look closely at the geometry!). Some viewers have interpreted the mirror as a coffin.
