I nearly destroyed my camera on this shoot! Daphne was so full of beans, running on the wet sand and splashing through the pools of water. Sand and water that got dangerously close to my camera! You can see the speckles of wet down her belly - evidence of the joyful romp she had prior to this photo being taken. Despite her exuberant Dalmatian nature, she was an absolute dream to work with. Her elegance shone through as the wind whipped across the blue-hour-drenched landscape. This photo was taken as a part of our Scarf Project. For this project, we wanted to create a series truly unique and unseen before. Something that would bring even more colour and a further dynamic to the work we produce. Over the course of this project, we have photographed tons of different dogs with coloured scarves blowing around them. This is one I'm particularly pleased with. Through this series of images, we are aiming to capture the ephemeral beauty and complex emotions that accompany a relationship with an animal, particularly a dog. The vibrant colours of the scarves are symbolic of the joy and happiness that dogs often bring into our lives. Similar to the fabric billowing in the wind, our time with our pets is unpredictable and full of surprises. Although each photograph represents a mere moment in time, the way the fabric is frozen highlights the significance of that moment.
