Rick and Amelia regularly visit naturist campsites and events together. In this series, I made portraits of them enjoying each other’s company in the campsite, just like any father and daughter would. However, many naturists are forced to hide their naturist lifestyle for fear of judgement and shame from society. I noticed the fog on the walls of the covered swimming pool in the campsite and used it to depict the veil of secrecy many naturists have to cover themselves with. I’m intrigued by the irony of the situation as naturism promotes acceptance of self and others in our most natural form.
