Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates spring, love, and new life. Playing Holi with my camera was one of the most intense experiences of all my travels so far. Most of the time I had to hide the camera in the bag even though it was covered in plastic, the fine powder coming from all angles did its best to find a way in. This is one shot from up a ladder inside a temple full of people getting pounded by powder paints, soaked by water and generally having an insane experience together. Slowing everything down shares the feeling of chaos whilst blending humanity together to celebrate the home of the Holi Festival in Vrindavan, India.
