Description

This image shows a view over ‘El Laberinto’, a stunning mosaic of mollusc-shaped hills and bone-dry valleys in Argentina’s far northwest. The soft rocks have been sculpted by the harsh climate of the high altiplano into an other-worldly lunar landscape. While looking for possible compositions, I found it was quite difficult to make sense of the scene from ground level, so I decided that an aerial perspective might be the best option. I took this image using a drone in early light, showing the ethereal beauty of El Laberinto's parched and unforgiving landscape from above.
