Description

The Saudi Hawks, the national display team of Saudi Arabia, are seen backtracking the runway ahead of a display at the Saudi General Aviation Forum. The team taxi in a line abreast, and were in the process of turning around for take off from one end of Al-Thumamah's 4km runway, situated in the desert just outside of Riyadh. I had exclusive permission to operate a drone during their full airshow display, and especially while they taxi on the ground, I was able to capture some unique angles of the display team's jet aircraft. These permissions have taken many years of safety development and demonstration, and it is an immense privilege to operate during airshows anywhere in the world, let alone somewhere as heavily-regulated as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
