Description

Search and Rescue teams search for survivors buried under the rubble after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake ripped through southern Turkey in early February this year. The devastating earthquake claimed the lives of more than 50,000 people, with reports of the high death-toll being caused by poorly constructed buildings, unfit to withstand such natural disasters. I wanted to portray the sheer level of destruction, it was hard to believe mother nature could cause so much damage. The search and rescue teams on the top of the rubble, as well as the truck, were almost dwarfed by the devastation.
