I was waiting for the tram on a cold December evening in Budapest, when I noticed this cuddling couple with their masks on, through the glass wall of the tram stop. I have managed to capture their intimate, touching moment, which made me think of the ways the COVID-19 pandemic is transforming human relationships, as well as the importance of maintaining human connections during these difficult times. As a street photographer who has been exploring the topic of urban solitude an loneliness for many years, I believe that capturing and sharing positive moments like this has become more important than ever before, and hope that this image brings a semblance of hope and optimism into people's lives.
