A last minute decision to pack camera kit on a 'non-wildlife-photography' winter sun break holiday to Antigua, paid dividends. The garden grounds of our beachside hotel, provided a fabulous opportunity to watch Hummingbirds whizzing around the shrubs and flowers. The beach was planted with hardy trees and undergrowth and the tiny Antillean Crested Hummingbird kept me entertained on my sun lounger, as it went about its business. The task of tracking the birds flight from flower to flower and in and out of the shade, was considerable. This shot is from perhaps my favourite sequence of this fantastic little bird, as it captures a perfect shaded silhouette of the action on the beach. 1/3200 sec, f5.6, ISO 360, -1 EV
