A beautiful grey seal happily resting in the classic "banana pose" on the shore of Horsey Gap beach in Norfolk, U.K. Thanks to the tireless efforts of many volunteers from the 'Friends of Horsey Seals' charity, this colony has seen such a dramatic increase in numbers over the years, with well over 2000 pups born last year alone. The volunteers have educated the public to respect the distance the seals need when they come ashore to have their babies. This means not only are the colony thriving but the visitors are still able to enjoy this spectacular wildlife experience. A true example of how humans can be part of the natural world and live in harmony with the other animals that share it with us.
