Taken on a dull, dreary morning in Birmingham. There's something about a brolly seen from on high. It shields the subject from view and causes the observer to become curious. Strong colours stimulate the brain and movement always creates a certain dynamism. I adopted a high point of view in an attempt to combine these elements. As the subject walked into frame I set my camera to a high ISO in order to maintain a relatively high shutter speed in the dull conditions and a relatively narrow aperture to give sufficient depth. I pressed the shutter as the subject's leg was fully extended. As with all candid street images the final ingredient is always a large dollop of luck!
