Millenium Bridge, London
Canon 5D Mk 3 with 24-105 f/4 IS L lens
This viewpoint from the bridge facing St Paul's is a highly sought after composition for many photographers, so trying to produce something a little different certainly wasn't easy, but I feel I've achieved something unique here - part of a series of fractured images the intent is to show London with dynamism and motion. This image is a merge of 7 images taken during a single sunrise at the Millennium Bridge, each image has been carefully layered to add texture, contrast and interest across the scene. The final layer of the jogger being lit by the rising sun is a playful nod to other photographer's who are all too often frustrated at this location, when the light is optimum, their compositions primed and then suddenly an unwanted character enters the scene, personally I love the human element though!
