Commercial: Product

This image was taken as part of my final year portfolio project (BA Hons Photography Level 6) which I study at Newcastle College. In this image I showcase a pair of high end luxury sneakers (Yeezy Boost 380) in low key studio lighting for a dramatic, eye catching effect. This image is made up of multiple exposures which were comped together in Photoshop to create consistent low key exposure throughout the frame. I created this scene in Photoshop to lead the viewer through the product to help tell a story depending on the customers needs. I fully understand that this was not shot for a client but I took a lot of time to create this image so that it would have the impression it was taken for a commercial client. This is why I left plenty of blank space for text, logos etc which you would usually see in a commercial image. In the left hand image I really wanted to show the shoe in a beautiful yet basic light which gives the viewer an overall look at the shoe. As you move over to the right side of the frame you may notice that I took a much more detailed approach to photographing the shoe. I made sure that I really captured the tiny textures and key features of the shoe as this is what sells it. It also adds much more depth and sense of motion to the image while complimenting the design of the shoe. I used fishing wire to help prop up the shoe and to suspend the laces. This helped achieve the look of motion in the image which I am very pleased with. I am very proud of this image as I completely went out of my comfort zone to shoot it and I managed to pull together a photo which I will be showcasing in my final year portfolio. Thank you!
