I have been very fortunate to stay overnight on Skomer on a number of occasions. It gives you access to the wonderful seabird colonies at dusk when numbers are at their greatest and light is at its best. I always try to come away with something a bit different to the usual portraits of puffins, and having noticed an interesting cloud formation beginning to gather I quickly switched to a wide angle lenses and waited to see what would happen. After a short wait these three birds landed in the daises before me. I quickly adjusted the composition to place the lead bird in the centre the frame and took a few photographs before the birds headed down into their burrows.
