These yellow cubic houses shout out Rotterdam to me. It was part of the plans to recreate this city that was so badly damaged during WW2, and its unusual angled and towering design was partly to cross a road. It was completed in the 1980s and I remember it from business trips to the city back then. The complex still stands out as bold and modern, and needed a bright sunny day and blue sky to really show off its multiple ups, downs and diagonals.
