Context of picture In a seemingly impossible task (with one wicket remaining) Stokes and Leach batted together and scored 76 between them. Of that 76 runs Stokes scored 74 with Leach scoring one and one extra. With one run needed to win Ben Stokes scored a four and then celebrated for the first time in his innings. He finished on 135 not out. The innings has recently been voted as the greatest performance by an England cricketer in the last 50 years by the Professional Cricketers Association (PCA) and Natwest to mark the 50th anniversary of the PCA awards. It was the second-highest tenth-wicket stand to win a test match ever.
