Sony A7R III, Elinchrome Quadra, ambient red 100W light, Tripod, 24mm 2.8 Canon
This picture was taken as part of a short movie made of stills. This is the last image of the story. It's has been done using long exposures of 6 seconds and 2 seconds. Using flash, continuous light and light painting. The process took 4 hours, and post-production for 2 hours. The photographer is the model, for the last part of the shooting was necessary to shave the head and a period without eating of 24h. The idea of this picture is a mix between the paint "Death of Marath" by Jacques-Louis David, and "the Nightmare" by Henry Fuseli. The photographer is a nurse and works in Edinburgh, while in his free time studies photography at Edinburgh College. The image shows a man dying while death comes to takes his body. A younger himself, as a nurse, try to take care of him. He looks outside, directly to our eyes, but in this case to the eyes of the photographer; the same person as the nurse and the patient.
