Description

In honour to the great British painter Hockney, I wanted to represent one of his famous paintings. As Spanish, I got obsessed with Hockney since I moved to the UK five years ago. The search for colour, light, freshness, water, sun and warmth... For that reason, I tried to get inside his mind and searched in Spain for the light and the water for my major project of this year at college This is a self-portrait with a composite of two images. I see the person in the water as myself before I moved to the UK, and who is looking is the present me. I do dress like him because I am a different person since I leave my home. I am a better person. In this picture, I see a beautiful dialogue, the beauty of different cultures united.
