A scavenger (known locally as Pemulung) stands on a mountain of rubbish for his portrait overlooking methane covering at Bantar Gebang Landfill site. At 200 acres and 39,000,000 tonnes of rubbish it is thought to be South East Asias largest uncovered landfill. In the searing heat the pemulung pick through the rubbish scavenging what they can, working in one fo the most dangerous environments without any protective equipment.
