I was heading home after failing to photograph Mountain Hare on Bleaklow Moor, when I took a wrong turn down a road name "Around The Peak District". I pulled over to sort out the sat nav when I noticed this Red Grouse stood a few metres away on the wall. After noticing how close the cars were getting to the bird and it didn't seem to feel uncomfortable, I decided to try my luck at getting a shot with a passing car just to show how close to the road the bird was. I picked up my 5D MK IV and 100-400, set the aperture to f5.6 to really make the lights on the cars pop out I approached and was stunned to see just how close the bird let me get. most of the shots didn't work or feel right until I got this one of two cars heading in both directions.
