Doom Bar, Camel estuary, Cornwall
phantom 4 pro / Polar pro ND/4PL Vivid collection
Tidal Pools on the sand banks of the camel estuary. As the tide retreats a huge sandbank becomes visible in the middle of the Camel estuary. The sand gets carved and shaped by the ongoing tides and leaves these rather exotic looking tidal pools. As the tide retreats boats can be left stranded here with 'old tales' of people seen out on the sand cleaning there boats when in fact they were caught out by the outgoing tide and had nothing better to do until the tide came back in to re-float there boat. I feel this image is special because I've never really seen an image like it before, especially not one that's been taken in Cornwall. I think it adds a whole new perspective to the camel estuary with many people not believing it could ever look like this. Its really is amazing how different a place can look form this perspective.
