Description

After a whale watching trip we visited Whitby beach to eat fish and chips and watch the world pass. The herring gulls had been busy stealing food from the beach-goers and had tried to several attacks on us as we ate. I had the camera at the ready in case of a moment worth capturing but didn't expect such a close encounter as this one. Both Joe and the gull were unharmed as can be seen Joe wasn't unhappy about the encounter. Taken at f4 and 1/640.
