Taking this set of portrait was very important to me to bring awareness to albinism within youth culture in South Africa to challenge the myth & superstition that threatens the lives of one of society most marginalised groups, Sipho not only has to suffer the normal trials of being a young adult , he also has to deal with this hereditary disease, which not only , affects his physical appearance but his health and well being, his limited sight has effected his education and independence, yet this young man is a credit to himself , I was humbled to take his portrait. In this image I tried to show the beautiful marbling of Siphos skin tones .My chosen charity for this image is Sense.
