Description

This was taken during golden hour at Dunstanburgh Beach. The sun was almost down and there was a very faint cloud covering it, creating a beautiful soft warm light. I decided to sit blue down amongst the sand dune grass, with the light hitting one side of his face. I took this at f2.5 with my 50mm lens. I took the photo with such a wide aperture because the distance from Blue and the grass behind him was short. This helped create a smoother bokeh, but still kept some texture to the grass. A wide aperture also helped keep a low ISO and fast shutter speed.
